Kindertown Family Guide: April
It may not seem like it today, but Spring has finally Sprung, and there is a ton of fun stuff to do with the entire family across #HamOnt this month.
Below, we lay out a list of events and places that are hosting kid friendly events across the city. From childhood performers, scary spiders and the time honored tradition of finding Easter eggs, there is something for everyone in April.
Kindertown Presents: The Great Easter Egg Hunt!
April 18th: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
110 Gordon Drummond Ave, Stoney Creek, ON
Before our playground undergoes a little transformation we will be hosting our first official Great Easter Egg Hunt!
Ktown kids and families are encouraged to bring their baskets as they search high and low for the hidden treasures left throughout our outdoor space!
Harlem Globetrotters Tour
Friday April 5th @ 7:00pm
First Ontario Centre, 101 York Blvd.
The month of April seems to be the month of reliving childhood memories and creating new ones! The Harlem Globetrotters will be visiting Hamilton with all their tricks, dribbles and shots! Bring the whole family down to watch the magic unfold on the hardwood!

Raffi in Concert
April 6 – 1:00pm/4:00pm
First Ontario Concert Hall, 1 Summers Lane
Raffi is turning 70 this year and hopes to celebrate with families both new and old. It is hard to find anyone that doesn’t know the lyrics to ‘Baby Beluga’ or ‘Down by the Bay’, even years since they last sung it. Raffi’s concerts are always filled with talking, singing, and clapping along!

After the Raffi concert, you can stroll a few steps to the 7th annual Vintage Marketplace Place, hosted by Hamilton Convention Centre by Carmens. Full of shopping, music and sights - with everything from furniture to children’s toys - it would be the perfect way to top off a Saturday of nostalgia!

Monster Jam

Keeping these wheels of nostalgia rolling, it’s everyone’s favouriote afternoon of loud, messy and exciting Monster Truck Jam. For one day, Hamilton’s First Ontario Centre gets transformed into a dirt pile of ramps, jumps, obstacles and Monster Truck tricks!

Spiders Alive!
Everyday until April 14, 2019: 10am – 5pm
Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Rd W, Burlington, ON L
In Spiders Alive!, visitors can explore spider anatomy and evolutionary history, learn about their signature traits — venom and silk-making — and be surprised by little-known defense mechanisms such as mimicry and noise-making. In addition to live arachnids representing approximately 17 species, the exhibition includes larger-than-life models of spiders, a climbable spider model 50 times life size, and a rare 100-million-year-old fossil of a spider in limestone.
